Bible Verses About HomeschoolingIt's the parent's job to teach their children
If you make the decision to educate your children part-time or full-time in the home, you're making a great choice. The influence you have over your children is like none other; and no one else has the God-ordained task of raising them, that's only your job.
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Always remember these commands I give you today. Teach them to your children, and talk about them when you sit at home and walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them down and tie them to your hands as a sign. Tie them on your forehead to remind you, and write them on your doors and gates."Deuteronomy 6:5-9
"Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching..."Proverbs 1:8
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work."2 Timothy 3:14-17
Bible Verses About HomeschoolingChildren are a blessing for your home, not a curse to send away
It breaks my heart to hear moms (even jokingly) talk about how they can't wait for summer to end, or for spring break to end, or for kids to get back to school after Christmas. Especially if their own children overhear them. They might not act like they care, but surely they do! Everyone wants to feel wanted and treasured. In fact, children ARE a treasure. Anyone who has faced infertility, like me, knows this all too well. Children are a gift from God.
"Children are a gift from the Lord; a productive womb, the Lord’s reward. As arrows in the hand of a warrior, so also are children born during one’s youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be ashamed as they confront their enemies at the city gate."Psalm 127:3-5
"Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine, flourishing within your home. Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table."Psalm 128:3

Educating your children full-time or part-time in your home takes away valuable time that could be spent on more productive things... or wait... what's more productive than educating your children? :) I can't think of a thing!
"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."Ephesians 5:15-17
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."Ephesians 6:1-4
